Hello, I'm Jana – your virtual assistant with an eye for detail
As a solo entrepreneur - whether you're a coach, trainer, podcaster, event planner, or running a small craft business - you're probably wearing many hats at once. Tech issues, admin work, and endless to-dos can quickly eat up the time you'd rather spend with your clients, projects, or passion. That's where I step in: I keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes - structured, reliable, and without unnecessary fuss. With practical know-how, strong organization skills, and an eagle eye for detail, I make your business more visible and your everyday work noticeably easier.
My path to becoming a virtual assistant
I started out in 2006 as a foreign language assistant at an international law firm in Düsseldorf. Later, I was drawn abroad: a year working in the Australian outback (at a DIY store office in Alice Springs) showed me how to plan effective campaigns with limited resources — often in collaboration with the local graphic designer and always with a practical eye for what was feasible.
Back in Germany, I spent a decade working in purchasing and sales, working closely with international suppliers. I helped develop product collections and managed projects for teleshopping clients, including partners such as QVC UK, QVC France and TVSN Australia. This involved many meetings and close coordination with business partners in London, Paris, Milan and Sydney. This experience gave me routine in international communication and project management — ideal if you need to work internationally or in English-speaking environments.
The move to self-employment followed when I combined my interest in audio storytelling with practical project work (including my private podcast project 'Fielou'). Since then, I have been consistently expanding my portfolio: at the end of 2024, I began further training in online marketing, web design and audio and video editing in order to better combine podcasting, web and organisation.
